Webglobe acquires eBola.cz web hosting

Prague, August 15, 2023. Webglobe, the leading domain registrar and web hosting provider in Central Europe, acquires 100% of EBOLA Czech, s.r.o., known under the brand name ebola.cz, further strengthening its dominant position in the Czech and Central European markets.

Since its establishment in 2009, Ebola.cz has built a great reputation among hosting players, mainly thanks to its quality services and reliable customer support.

The agreement, signed on August 1 in Brno, marks the 18th successful acquisition for Webglobe in the last four years, and the 10th in the Czech Republic. In just 4 years since entering the Czech market, Webglobe has managed to become the 3rd largest web hosting company in the country.

Dalibor Kouřil, the original owner of EBOLA Czech, remains as Managing Director and will make sure that the transition to Webglobe will be smooth and the quality of service will remain at a high level. In addition, EBOLA Czech customers will be able to take advantage of other modern services from the Webglobe portfolio.

Webglobe continues to grow at a solid pace in all markets where it operates and continues to strengthen its position in the Czech, Slovak and Serbian markets.

Webglobe made the acquisition through its internal acquisition team, in cooperation with legal advisors from KŠB.
