How do I add a domain to Exchange Online?

  1. If you host the domain on Webglobe DNS, then customer support will add it to Exchange Online. If you do not have a domain registered with Webglobe, and therefore do not use Webglobe DNS, you will first need to verify that you actually own it.

Here, you can find complete instructions for adding a domain to Microsoft 365.

    1. Before you can use your domain with Microsoft 365, you must first verify that you are the owner of the domain. This will prevent someone else from using these services or sending emails that have your company domain extension.
    2. Sign up for Microsoft 365 https://login.microsoftonline.com
    3. Go to the Microsoft 365 Management Center.
    4. In the Domains tab, click Add Domain.
    5. Enter your domain that you want to set up for Microsoft 365 and click Next
You must now confirm that you are the owner of the domain by adding a TXT record.
    Copy the TXT value
  2. If we are the technical administrator of your domain and the domain uses our DNS, then you can change the settings under your customer account in Webglobe Admin after logging in under Domains > DNS > DNS records.
  3. In case you have another DNS provider, then forward it to your TXT technical administrator for validation.
  4. After replicating the DNS records, click Save
  5. In the next step, Set up online services, select I will manage my own DNS records, and then click Next.
  6. You can now see an overview of the DNS records that need to be defined for your domain to work with Microsoft 365. So you will need to edit the MX, CNAME, TXT and SRV records in the zone file.
  7. If we are the technical administrator of your domain and the domain uses our DNS, then you can change the settings again under your customer account in Webglobe Admin after logging in under Domains > DNS > DNS records.
  8. If you have another DNS provider, then forward the complete settings (MX, CNAME, TXT, SRV) to your technical administrator.
  9. Return to the Microsoft 365 portal and click Save at the bottom of the page. If everything is set up correctly, you will see a confirmation page.
